The Association of Book Publishers of BC has announced the sixth annual BC Book Day to take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
Held at the BC Legislature, BC Book Day brings together government and industry stakeholders, including BC publishers, authors, festival directors, librarians, and booksellers, to celebrate the literary landscape of our province. BC Book Day is part of BC Creative Industries Week, which brings together stakeholders in film and television, digital entertainment, music and sound recording, and book and magazine publishing to showcase the growing contributions to the province’s economy.
BC Book Day also provides an opportunity for communities in all parts of our province to share in the celebration of BC books and authors. Readers are encouraged to share their BC reads and celebrate BC Book Day by using the hashtag #BCBookDay on social media and tagging @ReadLocalBC (we’re on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram). Booksellers and librarians are welcome to brand their events and programming as part of BC Book Day. We’d love to see photos!
