On Tuesday, February 20, bestselling author, librarian, and historian Kate Bird will be on a panel about the cultural scenes in the 70s in Vancouver and Toronto. Haida artist, performer, and activist Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson will present her new book, Out of Concealment: Female Supernatural Beings of Haida Gwaii (Heritage House) at Banyen Books in Vancouver on Wednesday, February 21. Terri-Lynn explores through art & music the ancient feminine in Haida oral traditions.

SFU Library has chosen Ivan Coyote‘s Tomboy Survival Guide (Arsenal Pulp Press) as the One Book One SFU bookclub selection. On Thursday, February 22, SFU and Ivan Coyote will be joined by musician Tegan Quin as they discuss Ivan’s memoir at SFU Woodwards in Vancouver.
