The 2018 CBC Canada Reads longlist was announced today with 15 titles and the theme One Book to Open Your Eyes. We were very excited to see three titles from BC publishers on the list as well as four local authors.
- Tomboy Survival Guide by Ivan Coyote (Arsenal Pulp Press)
- The Clothesline Swing by Ahmad Danny Ramadan (Nightwood Editions)
- Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez (Arsenal Pulp Press)
- Brother by David Chariandy (McClelland & Stewart)
- The Measure of a Man by JJ Lee (McClelland & Stewart)
The five panellists and their chosen books will be announced on January 30, 2018. The debates will take place March 26-29, 2018 with Ali Hassan returning as host. View the full longlist here.
